Brand Revitalization of The Chinese Banks’ Association

The Chinese Banks’ Association was founded in 1919 to represent the interests of Chinese banks in Hong Kong, as traditional Ngan-hos struggled to meet the needs of expanding Chinese merchants. Initially comprising six member banks, it grew to 35 and now has 19 due to industry consolidation. The Association promotes camaraderie through academic seminars, recreational events, and sports competitions. Monthly luncheons allow senior staff to network, while festive gala dinners are held annually. The Association also operates a full-service Chinese restaurant and is managed by an Executive Committee overseeing various activities and committees.

Recently, we undertook a brand revitalization for The Chinese Banks’ Association, changing the logo color from yellow and black to gold and redesigning it into a square shape. This change enhances recognition, making the characters for “Chinese” and “Bank” more prominent, thereby showcasing our professional image and brand value. The new logo is more adaptable for digital platforms and printed materials, improving consistency and laying a solid foundation for future development. This revitalization is not just a visual update, but also a commitment to the future, aimed at strengthening connections and collaboration among members.
