Beautifood
Michelin-starred Chef Alvin Leung opened an innovative eatery in Wanchai that sold a selection of gourmet salads and sushi burritos.
Playing on the message “you are what you eat,” we combined the words “beautiful” and “food” to create “Beautifood” – a brand that promoted the pursuit of a beautiful and healthy lifestyle. As takeaway played a main role in the restaurant, we understood that a major pain point in ordering a salad to go was that it gets too soggy by the time of eating. To overcome this, we designed a take out bowl that had a seperate layer to hold the sauce and other food items ordered along with it. The sauce would then get poured onto the salad, and you would toss it by securing the rounded lid on top of the bowl and shaking it like a cocktail.
Targeting office ladies who like to work hard and play hard, we designed the storefront to be edgy and unconventional. A large window cut out in the sensual shape of a woman’s body is contrasted by a sharp neon pink featuring the message “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT” in large bolded letters.
We also took product shots and designed hoarding stickers that combined food with fashion and featured their innovative menu items.
